Stories, Knowledge and Insight | Changing Minds
The 2019 Meeting of the Minds brought together professionals, caregivers, and those living with dementia together sharing stories, experiences and insight at the St. Paul RiverCenter on Saturday, March 2nd.
We are honored to have had the opportunity to support the Alzheimer’s Association during this event again this year. It’s amazing the power of what can happen when people come together for the same cause.
This year, we were able to have four of our team members attend the conference to gain knowledge and insight in many different areas as well as have two of our leadership team members speak at the conference.
“The Meeting of the Minds Conference was a beautiful opportunity to come together as a collective community with shared goals, challenges, and varying perspectives. The highlight of the conference for me was the gaining of valuable knowledge from the well-informed presenters as well as our peers,” said Zach Parlier, Employee Relations and Knowledge Coordinator.
Jayne Clairmont, Owner and CEO of English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care, presented this year on “Improving Residential Care Through a Holistic Framework” with the goal to share how to enhance and maximize the well being of each resident and provide excellence with leadership oversight.
“This years’ audience participation and reception of the session was remarkable. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to spend the time with that group and share knowledge and experiences with them,” said Clairmont.
Katie Rinehimer, Quality of Life Director, had the chance to speak as well as be part of a panel during her session, Innovations for Improving Residential Living and Ways to Participate.
“It was a great experience being able to present on the benefits of aromatherapy to such a diverse audience. Everyone can benefit from using essential oils in many ways,” said Rinehimer.
Next on our calendar is the 27th Alzheimer’s Associations Annual Purple Gala. The gala will be held at The Depot, downtown Minneapolis, on Saturday, May 4th.
