June is National Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month and Health Partners held their 8th Annual Alzheimer’s Fundraising Breakfast. English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care was invited by Right at Home to attend the annual breakfast.
The breakfast is put on by Health Partners to promote brain awareness and is a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s research and the Health Partners Center for Memory and Aging. This year the featured patient was Tina Casey, whose story has been featured recently on KSTP-TV. She was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 43.
“The breakfast focused on the whole being of the person with dementia and their entire family. They shared insight on how it starts with nutrition, meditation and exercise. Health Partner’s focus is on well-being while walking with them on the journey,” said Vicki Martini, Vice President of Marketing and Operations of English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care.
Throughout the event, Health Partners shared ways you can make positive impacts on your brain health with mindfulness, meditation and nutrition. At the end of the breakfast attendees were asked to donate to Alzheimer’s research.
