In the fall of 2015, Jayne Clairmont was nominated to become a Board Member on the College of Human Development and Education Board of Visitors at North Dakota State University located in Fargo, North Dakota. The Board of Visitors is comprised of Alumni of the College of Human Development and Education who live throughout the United States and serve a three year term where they provide the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the college with support and experiences from their personal and professional lives.
Jayne traveled to North Dakota for the annual Board meeting in February. The meeting was a weekend of orientation, learning and presentations from graduate students. The Board works annually on the Board of Visitors Undergraduate Scholarship Endowment and the Graduate Scholarship that highlights research, which is presented by the graduate students during the annual meeting. The finalists are interviewed by the Board and the Board selects the recipient of the Graduate Scholarship during the weekend. After the weekend, the Board also serves as an active link to those external to the University. Clairmont is honored to be a part of supporting the wonderful work being accomplished at North Dakota State University.
