Mandala Montessori

English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care have partnered with a local Minneapolis Montessori, Mandala Montessori who opened their doors in September 2010. Jayne Clairmont had a hand in helping them start their business. She was instrumental in being a guiding voice for a new startup company with a very important and meaningful vision. She also saw the opportunity to bring wonderful engagement and purpose to the Residents and Clients that she helps serve.

montesorriEnglish Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care were very fortunate to have cemented the lasting relationship while the school was still in the dreaming phases. This allowed for the students, parents, teachers, residents/clients and care partners to embark on this journey together. Understanding how unique this opportunity was and how it would ultimately be driven by the residents and students.
Once the school was established and children were being signed up by their eager parents, the founders and fellow teachers at Mandala Montessori invited Jayne Clairmont and the Quality of Life Coordinator, Katie Rinehimer, to meet the parents during an introductory night at the school. This was a great way to help inform the parents about how English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care and how they serve their residents/clients on their journeys in elder-hood. All that attended the evmontessori2ent were also given some insight to “A Day in the Life” of a Mandala Montessori student. This allowed all parties involved to ask questions or share feelings and insight before involving the students.

English Rose Suites and b♦home Home Care Residents and Clients make a visit once a week to the school, usually in the morning. We arrive and are greeted by two students who have chosen this as their job to practice for the day. They will show us to our seats and offer a snack and drinks to the residents/clients as well as help to pick up the dishes and wash them. Then the students will take turns working at a work station that is set up next to the residents/clients and their care partners. The time is spent with the students and residents/clients working together and guiding each other.

Mandala Montessori and the students are wonderful at being flexible with English Rose Suites and b home Home Care visit times. They are very understanding that each day is different and therefore has created and formed an everlasting partnership.
