Congratulations to Kim – May’s Caregiver of the Month!

  Our Core Values (Relationships, Excellence, Presence) are at the center of everything we do at English Rose. English Rose team members strive to uphold these values every day. Every thirty days, we elect a Caregiver of the Month who exemplifies our core values through the care they provide our residents and home care clients, as well as their support for fellow team members. For May 2021, we are thrilled to honor Kim!

Getting to know Kim, our Caregiver of the Month

Describe yourself in three words? Kind. Friendly. Patient.   What is your favorite hobby/pastime? I used to live in CA and loved spending time on the beach. Now, since there are NO beaches here, I enjoy working out. It’s relaxing for me. I also like to bake and read.   How long have you worked at English Rose? 7 months   Which of English Rose’s core values is most important to you and why? Relationships. Without them, it is hard to be present and achieve excellence.   What’s your favorite part of your job? Doing hair and nails. I love to braid hair. It’s a genuine bonding experience for the residents and me.   What is your most used emoji? Sideways laughing face. The other laughing faces are boring.   If you have to sing karaoke, what song do you pick? “Party in the U.S.A.” – Miley Cyrus. I used to know all the words by heart.   What’s your favorite activity to do with the residents and why? Trivia. It’s always surprising to me, and sometimes themselves, the fun facts that they know.   What is a weird/pointless fact that you happen to know? I know a lot of cat facts. I love cats! Cats can rotate their ears 180 degrees!   What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know? I have a lot of pets. I used to have 7 birds, but now I have 4. They weren’t all getting along so I had to re-home a few. I also have a cat named Lilah.
